Eclipse Foundation: Best Modeling Tool
BonitaSoft, the leading provider of open source BPM solutions, today announced that Bonita Open Solution, their signature end-to-end BPM suite, won “Best Modeling Tool” at EclipseCon 2011. The Eclipse Foundation’s annual Community Awards recognize the top individuals, projects and technologies in the ecosystem. Out of the thousands of open source and commercial applications and tools built on Eclipse, a panel of judges from the Eclipse community recognized a select few products based on their user interfaces, innovation and completeness of their solutions.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Eclipse community,” said Miguel Valdes-Faura, BonitaSoft CEO and co-founder. “Bonita Open Solution has evolved greatly over the years and it’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts as we continue to democratize the BPM market with an affordable, powerful open source solution.”
Bonita Open Solution was built using a host of Eclipse technologies, including: EMF/GMF, EMF Compare, Jetty 7, Birt, Qvto/Xpand, JDT and Groovy-Eclipse. BonitaSoft is also actively involved in the Eclipse community. Two BonitaSoft developers are Eclipse committers: Aurélien Pupier is a committer on the GMF-Runtime project and Mickeal Istria is a committer on the GMF Tooling and Java Workflow projects. BonitaSoft not only contributes bug
reports and fixes and forum messages, but also spreads the word about Eclipse technology through blog posts on BonitaSoft’s community site as
well as participation in events like Java User Groups.
