Two Major Universities - Delivering Customized and Scalable Identity Management Solutions
To serve the identity management needs of universities with more than 40,000 students, Aegis Identity Software (BonitaSoft's partner) needed to build a versatile solution that handles workflows in a multistage process. In many ways, this is more complicated than the authentication needed in a major corporation. In a corporation, new employees get on-boarded periodically, in a staggered fashion. At a major university, thousands of new students are on-boarded all at once. Students tend to have different roles at different times. Each role therefore requires different access features which creates the need for custom workflows and complex business rules.
Both schools automated three processes; an account claim process for initial password reset by all new students, a password reset process when a student loses their password, and a delegated administration process which contains an ongoing workflow when a student needs to modify their security or contact information.

A National Procurement Institution - Automating Six Processes in Six Months
A national institute responsible for procurement has deployed Bonita Open Solution to automate several of their core administrative processes for their employees. The institution contacted BonitaSoft's partner, BMLaurus, which focuses on technology management. The institution needed a BPM tool that would free up some of the time their staff was currently spending on administration. With thousands of acquisition processes, their goal was simple: reduce the amount of time spent on paperwork, and identify and remove bottlenecks in their processes.
Automated processes include Human Resources processes for vacation time requests, reimbursement and travel requests, import management for when a good or service is not manufactured locally, and incident management for reporting issues with their public acquisition software. Using Bonita Open Solution, the institution has reduced the amount of paper involved in processes and many of the employees are better able to devote time to other responsibilities. Since it deployed the application in January 2012, each of institution's 300 employees have used Bonita Open Solution to request, approve, or manage a particular process.

A University - From Proof-of-Concept to Deployment in Just 12 Weeks
A leading research and teaching institution deployed Bonita Open Solution to automate their grant payment process for their faculty and staff. Bonita Open Solution was chosen to automate the school’s manual process of grant allocation and payments to their faculty and staff members. Before deploying Bonita Open Solution, the process was completed manually using a calculator to determine the percentage of grants allocated to each faculty and staff member. After connecting to the school’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial backend systems, Bonita’s complex business rules completely automated the payment process.

An Insurance Company - Automating Customer Response Processes
With their companywide goal of becoming paperless by 2014, a leading insurance holding company is automating four of their critical business processes.
The company chose to start small by targeting several basic projects, such as automating their customer service response process. This process begins when a customer completes an electronic fund request form. Bonita Open Solution is integrated into an image scanning system and takes the request and routes it to the appropriate claims processor. Hundreds of similar scanned requests are received daily and routed to the appropriate customer service claims processor via complex business rules built into Bonita’s Java based engine.
Once a process is fully mapped, the focus shifts to making the process paperless through an automated online service built in Bonita Open Solution. Furthermore, the company has incorporated BPM into their agile methodologies, allowing them to adapt or change processes quickly when needed. A Software Company – Streamlining Scheduling Processes
A global company that specializes in workforce injury prevention, has for several years deployed Bonita Open Solution as their preferred Business Process Management solution.
This organization helps their clients, from a variety of industries, reduce work related injuries and reduce costs associated with worker's compensation. The process starts when an employee submits a web request for a health related service using forms built on Bonita Open Solution. Bonita Open Solution uses complex business rules to set the priority of each request submitted by the employee , which is then assigned to a consultant. An activity is scheduled and the employee receives an eCalendar invitation. The consultant then performs an ergonomic assessment and completes a report which is sent to the employee and their manager. The case is then updated, and a survey is sent to the employee to set their case status as ‘closed’.
